One of the biggest “must” to do in Copenhagen is to visit and see the statue of the Little Mermaid in the harbor. The Little Mermaid or Den lille havfrue, as it is called in Danish, was created by sculptor Edvard Eriksen and represents the world famous Danish writer HC Andersen’s character from the book with the same name as the statue.
Along with Tivoli, The Little Mermaid is one of Copenhagen’s most popular attractions for tourists and it´s annually visited by over a million people.
